Hello, I’m Vlad, the TechLead for NeuroEase. I’m excited to walk you through how we built an app that truly supports neurodiverse families, making daily life easier for parents and children.

We’re thrilled to share the development story behind NeuroEase. Our goal was to create an app that simplifies daily routines, reminders, and behavior tracking for neurodiverse families, ensuring their lives are less stressful and more organized.

NeuroEase includes powerful features like visual schedules, behavior tracking, and remote monitoring through the Goally Care Team. This allows parents and caregivers to track progress, provide rewards, and interact with children via a secure platform. The app’s intuitive, child-friendly design makes it easy for families to stay on track with daily tasks while keeping everything in one place.

Implementation

The NeuroEase project had its challenges, particularly when it came to creating a seamless and intuitive user experience for both children and caregivers. One of the first obstacles we faced was ensuring that the app was simple enough for children to interact with, while also offering deep functionality for parents. Our solution was to develop an interface with a visual-first design, ensuring that both kids and adults could navigate effortlessly.

Another challenge was building a real-time monitoring system that allowed parents and caregivers to interact with the children remotely. This required integrating the Goally Care Team feature into the app, allowing live updates and reward systems. We focused heavily on building secure, scalable communication channels, using WebSockets to deliver real-time information without delays.
Additionally, ensuring data privacy and security was paramount. Given the sensitive nature of the app, we implemented strict security protocols, including encryption for user data and secure payment processing via Stripe, providing parents with peace of mind.
Despite these challenges, the team successfully delivered a feature-rich platform that improves everyday routines for neurodiverse families.
